The brain learns by storing information using the connections between brain cells called a synapse. Neurons are specialized cells that transmit information through electrical and chemical signals. Synapses are the junctions where neurons communicate with each other. This communication is how the brain learn.
What most people don’t know is that a toddler has twice the number of active brain cells (neurons) as those of an adult. From birth until around age five the brain overproduces brain connections to give us the ability to rapidly learn vast amounts of information. But there is a catch. Once this period of rapid brain expansion ends, they brain begins to trim away weak or unused brain capacity. This is called Synaptic Pruning, and it is largely complete by the mid-twenties. The more we learn and the earlier, the less brain capacity we potentially loose. This is why education is so important.
Why Is This Important?
What all of this means is that education does not build brain capacity. Education prevents us from loosing brain capacity.

We believe the best way to achive this is by creating training and technologies that focus on individual learning.

Who We Are
Paul Lott Corporation (PLC) was founded in 2001 as a Pennsylvania corporation. Our initial business focused on computer system design, engineering and training for Fortune 100 companies and government. In 2011, PLC shifted its focus to education technology and methods.
What We Do
PLC has created groundbreaking education technology over the last 14 years focusing on individual learning methods and technology. Our premier training program called the The Parent Method enjoys a 97% success rate improving student performance.
